Join us in welcoming Doris Kearns Goodwin, world-renowned presidential historian, public speaker and Pulitzer Prize-winning author whose work was the basis for the blockbuster movie Lincoln.
Among Goodwin’s six critically acclaimed, New York Times-bestselling books is The Bully Pulpit: Theodore Roosevelt, William Howard Taft, and the Golden Age of Journalism. She won the Pulitzer Prize in history for No Ordinary Time: Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt: The Home Front in World War II. Ms. Goodwin appears as a news commentator on NBC, MSNBC, CBS, ABC, FOX, CNN, The Charlie Rose Show and Meet the Press.
Goodwin will speak on Wednesday, September 28 at 7 p.m. in The Agnes Irwin School’s main gymnasium. The lecture and Q&A session will be followed by a book signing.
